Biography

Karen and Chris have been cooking together since 2006. Their specialties include Indian, African, Caribbean and Cajun cuisines.

Chris was born in Hong Kong and grew up between Hong Kong and India. His Indian roots are evident in many of his dishes, which include family recipes dating back generations. Karen is American and began a lifelong love affair with food by teaching herself to cook Thai when she was still at university. Together, they have traveled and immersed themselves in food in places as diverse Ethiopia, New Orleans and across India.

Since 2021, they have been doing Pop-Ups, that they explored many different cuisines. Dishes offered have ranged from South Asian (Nepalese, Bengali, Keralan, Tamil...) to African (Ethiopian, Ghanaian, Moroccan...) to Caribbean (Cuban, Puerto Rican, Haitian) to Louisiana Creole and Cajun. They pride themselves in offering the most authentic dishes from cuisines that are hard to find in Hong Kong.

Last but not least, their daughter and many of their friends have a wide variety of dietary restrictions, and they are happy to accommodate dietary requests whenever they can (Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free, etc).

Thank you Karen and Chris for a lovely dinner experience in our home. The taste is great and we really like the little twist of Indian cuisine in your menu. We’d be happy to have you cooking for us again.
