Biography
Flora, born into an Indonesian Chinese family, has a rich culinary background. Her grandparents migrated to Hong Kong in the 70s and opened two small Indonesian restaurants named "Subur" and "Good Luck" in Hung Hom and Tsuen Wan respectively. Flora grew up in the restaurant kitchen and describes herself as "someone raised in the kitchen."

As an adult, Flora pursued cooking courses to further enhance her culinary skills. However, the demanding nature of working in restaurant kitchens was too challenging for her, which led her to share her food with friends. Word of mouth quickly spread, and Flora began working as a part-time private chef in 2017. She has preserved her mother's Indonesian recipes and specializes in dishes that are not readily available in Hong Kong restaurants. Flora prepares her dishes from scratch, freshly blending spices and sauces on the day of the event. She is an approachable and cheerful chef who takes great care in crafting the taste and presentation of her dishes to provide a complete dining experience for her guests.

Sumptuous and delicious dinner

We had a fantastic evening. Chef Flora was working in a really good pace, left us enough time in between dishes to chat and drink but without waiting too long for the next dish! Well timed~ The dishes are all tasty and ample, the soup was good for at least 12 people!! ;) All the sauce are fresh and home made by Flora which was so flavourable. The beef in the Beef Salad was tender and juicy. Pork neck was the favorite of every one. Stir fried rice was fluffy and tasty. We will definitely book her again!

This is the 4th time we order Chef Flora and the 2nd time for the same menu, as usual her food make all of us feel happy and satisfied :) Since is the crab seasons, so I missed her menu which with crabs. Her passion and enthusiasm about cooking always inspired our guests, her friendly communications enhanced our dinner time. Flora is the most lovely and friendly chef. We had 12 of us, and she alone prepared a most delicious dinner. Her food is tasty and refreshing. My guests and I definitely loved the food chef Flora and her assistant Gary prepared last night! Dishes were presented nicely, ingredients were fresh and food tasted amazing!

Chef Flora and Gary were also very friendly and accommodative. I simply showed them where was my cookware and they handled everything themselves. I’ve never been so relaxed as a host.

This is the 2nd time we have Chef Flora with us. She is the most lovely and happy smiling chef I have ever met. I am so glad to have her cooking the traditional Indonesia food with my can't spicy taste buds, I understand how hard sometimes, but Chef Flora made it with still delicious dishes:) I would definitely want to try or repeat her menu as I love to hearing our laughters through our dinner with different guests.

Second time having Flora cook for us and it was as good as I remembered. She was early and very keen. Spent time on the preparation and getting use/adapted to the environment. She did great cooking on a yacht as well as within the circumstances she was given. She also kindly had the kitchen pretty much cleaned up for us. Thank you!

Our chef Flora provided a wonderful service and an amazing meal to us. Flora was always friendly even though we arrived a little late, and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Flora brought a wonderful time Thai Night to me and my family. She arrived on time, change all her outfit （appreciated given the current situation) and serve the meal on time. The food is really nice with amazing garnish. Portion of the food is also more than what we ordered per serving. We booked Flora for a good friend’s birthday and chose the Indonesian Thai fusion menu. Flora is polite and pleasant. Arrived on time, wore mask the whole time. She was very smart in using the tableware we had and presented each dish beautifully. She served dishes in good pace and explained everything. We liked the Soto chicken soup, scallops salad, seasonal gado-gato (nice twist to the traditional version) and dessert klepon in particular but everything was tasty. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Flora to other customers. Thank you again for an unforgettable night.

We had the dinner on last Sunday for my mom s birthday. Thanks to Flora it was everything and more than what we were expecting.
The food are amazing esp the pork belly crab clay pot and dessert. On the day the food that was served was exceptional and with perfect portion sizes.
Flora is so helpful and super nice. The dishes are very Instagram-able as well. I can't recommend Flora enough if you want that something special to enjoy, experience and to wow your guests. Thank you so much Flora and we will definitely be using your services again.

What an excellent evening with Flora! She was able to adapt the menu for our tastes and executed everything smoothly and with beautiful presentation. We asked her to be as authentic as possible and we were not disappointed. She's also a great problem solver, when our oven suddenly stopped working out she was able to adapt quickly and we were none the wiser. We had a pleasant dinner carefully prepared by Chef Flora that swayed from Thai to Indonesian. From cold appetisers to hot dishes and desserts we experienced a smooth and harmonious journey of spices and flagrance. With as traditional dishes as satays the dinner also included exceptionally delicious rustic soup of Thailand, deeply flagrant beef rib stew, and Javanese roast chicken with turmeric rice, not to mention the deep fried bananas that gave a perfect finale to the dinner.

If you like to try something special, Flora is the chef to go to! Her food is authentic, and absolutely delicious. She can adjust the level of spiciness to suit your taste. We had young kids and she made sure the food was suitable for them as well. This was the second time Flora has cooked for us, highly recommended.

We booked flora for a celebration dinner with very close friendr last night, and it was really impressive. As many of us are not familiar with Indonesian cuisine, we chose this menu out of curiosity. We requested to upgrade a certain courses to seafood as well. And flora didn’t disappoint us! From the first dish to the end, we were all amazed by the unique taste she brought to the table. 很滿足的一晚！看見豐富美食大家也吃到飽飽，可謂又食又拎。FLORA都好好傾，就算係廚房咁忙，都會出黎同大家介紹下同講下笑，逗到大家都好開心。少少意見務求之後飯局更加完美：
1) 份量比較多，可能今次因為長輩教多，大家掛住講多過食，看見頭三道菜又靚又好味就係咁食、湯每人都飲左三碗，食到中段戰鬥力無以為繼。。。建議開盤份量可少一點做多精緻點，或事前問一下長輩多/年青人多，份量可因以控制。如份量真的多了，可預先準備一些盒給賓客帶走淨餘食物，讓大家真正滿載而歸。
2) 鴨調味汁味道較濃，如中間有些酸甜涼菜間場中和一下，效果更佳。
除此之外，亦沒有什麼不足之處了！希望不久將來再有機會食到你煮既餸菜。

這其實是我第三次試Flora 的手勢，之前兩次是朋友host 的，今次先己訂。
還是非常滿意, 也一如既往的, 份量充足, 大漢也絕對吃得飽飽的....


這次試了廚師發板：
頭盤的蝦剌身十分新鮮, 青檸辣汁十分醒胃, 蝦頭炸了, 也能佐酒；之後的鮑魚也十分有份量, 聽說是南非來的。比一般街市看到的大連鮑大上一倍，鮮甜彈牙；生菜包爽脆, 和牛香口肥美, 烤雞也嫩滑, 沒有過老， 還有炒蜆和炸生蠔... 最後的海膽炒飯是致命的一擊, 吃完已經沒有反抗能力....... 糖水是楊枝甘露, 忘記拍照！

再次見面, Flora 仍是那麼親切, 若要招呼朋友, Flora 的出品絕對不會讓人失望!

又再預約FLORA的印尼菜了, 座上也有印尼華僑的朋友.

這次人數多了, MENU也有改變. 前菜的小青瓜和蝦片很香脆,
酸湯十分開胃, 竟然是只用疏菜煮成了, 難以置信的鮮味.
串燒選擇了牛肉, 又香又軟. 蛋包也很特別, 蒸出來比較滑.
臭豆煮蝦很爽, 但臭豆不是每個人都喜歡.
峇里蛋是我的最愛, 配飯一流,. 最後的牛肉黃薑飯是致命的一擊……已飽.

甜點是牛油果雪榚, 不太甜, 很香很滑.
佐餐用的是德國的RISELING 還有RHONE的紅酒, 和帶甜辣的菜正好合襯.

廚師十分友善. 值得推介.

No spicy for Indonesian-Thai food? Yes, she did it and the food was great! It was different from dishes you see in a regular Thai or Indonesian restaurant. You can tell she put a lot of effort into it. We would definitely recommend Flora! And we look forward to hiring her again in the future!

昨天是與太太之相識紀念日, 現今已是一家四口, 小孩還小, 工人姐姐放假, 外出或自煮都有難度. 決定第一次嘗試用MOBICHEF的服務, 並選了FLORA作為一第一位大廚. 7點半開飯, FLORA很準時, 4:30便到家了. 與我想像不同. 打開門, FLORA 換好制服後, 全程自動化. 7:30 便可準時用餐. 這次也邀請了外父外母, 4個人也很滿意. 已在討論下次要吃什麼了.

I’ve always enjoyed the service with Mobichef and Fanny’s assistance on everything. This time my friends and I want to give 5 plus stars with Chef Flora’s cooking and hospitality. Every dish was amazing and nicely presented. We loved Flora’s humbleness even though her food was amazing and the portion was generous. I will definitely have Flora back to my home again for another wonderful culinary experience.

物超所值，唔係一般係街或印尼菜館所食到嘅印尼菜，所有菜式都好好食，和牛串燒超正，廚師仲會用蕉葉製作碗黎上菜好特別！
