Biography

Chef Rene-Etienne has over 35 years-experience in French cuisine, he was an Executive Chef and now is a full time Chef instructor in French Cooking Class. Chef Rene's aim is to give you a personal experience of the true taste of traditional French cuisine. He is enthusiastic to assist you into the journey of French dining including the starters, main courses, desserts, bakery, etc.

He loves sharing cooking ideas and his special techniques of classical and neo-classical French cuisine, that enriches your dining experience at home.

He had appeared on TVB Jade culinary show 'Original Food' and featured in numerous local newspapers and magazines such as Sing Tao Daily, Apple Daily, Hong Kong Walkers, HK Magazine and U Magazine, etc.

Chef Rene was cheerful, helpful and very accommodating. The dinner; pea soup with truffle, quail with foie gras, rack of lamb, and creme caramel and hot fondant chocolate cake, was flawless and as good as anything in a Michelin star restaurant. We could not have been more delighted and will certainly be inviting Rene back in the future.

Thanks for bringing the French restaurant experience to my home. Chef Rene made sure that we had everything we need and we also appreciated to make everything so perfect and neat. Rene came over to my house 2.5 hours earlier to prepare; from a personalised explanation of the full run-down, to the amazing presentation. Food was unexpectedly delicious and both Rene & the staff (Alexis) were fabulous too. Working in a unfamiliar kitchen and limited kitchen supplies, Chef Rene stood up to truly high levels of skills & professionalism to deliver the same level (or high level) of 5 star hotel French Cuisine. The only room for improvement is that he couldn’t read the Japanese/Chinese instructions on my oven.

Chef Rene was amazing. We had short fuse so many times and the oven stopped working so many times too. It must be very frustrating for him. But he kept his cool and delivered delicious dinner! All the guests were happy.

The food was overall good but not outstanding. We expected a bit more with this pricing . The big disappointment was the souffle, which tasted like it wasn't fully cooked in the middle. I asked the Chef and he said he "purposely made it moist". Anyway, he was pleasant and worked hard, so it's OK.

Amazing experience with chef Rene, all the guests enjoyed very much the food, the products were extremely fresh and chef Rene's touch made it an unforgettable experience. Dessert was of another world!

廚師解釋因爲佢用靚嘅食材,所以需要提早預訂。食落果然零舍不同!好好味!值得推薦。
