After her 12-year stay in Canada, Chef Yen is confident to jump out of her comfort zone to pursue her career back in Hong Kong. Yen studied Culinary Arts and Design in Canada. After finishing school, she got an opportunity to work in a hotel kitchen. 5 years later, she was promoted to be a Sous Chef at another restaurant operated by the company, taking in charge of line services, as well as events and banquets scaled up to 1,600 people.
Yen is also active in non-profit making projects. Date back to her chef’s life in Canada, she collaborated with a radio host to create a 3-course meal for a foundation aiming to help Kenya’s children. She also took part in a TV programme that aroused people attention to the eco system and also Fair Trade products.
Her dishes combine with mostly French and Italian. From fresh ingredients to a good combination and a nice presentation on plate.
